Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies, 40, joined us on Postcards From Midlife to give her straight talking advice on ignoring imposter syndrome and finding your own confidence, how to build a business, make your ideas a reality and give yourself ‘BHAGS’ (that’s big, hairy, audacious goals!).

She also talked about the guilt she feels some times as a mum who works outside the home and how she rationalises it so it doesn’t get her down, the health scare that kick started a love of running & dramatic weight loss as well as her family non-negotiables. Plus: we chatted about why couples get competitive & who is the best person to watch the film Babygirl with.

If you haven’t watched Sara’s The 6-minute entrepreneur then do so immediately and her new BBC show The Big Idea Works is on iPlayer now.

And for our 20 minute practical Wednesday episode we shared reviews of 10 brilliant new books we think will change your reading mindset this spring: from murder mystery to family dramas via comic observation, a Nobel prize winner’s latest and a new read from one of the world’s best selling authors that may have gone under your radar. They are all listed here but for the details do listen to the podcast Book Club:
