Pepsi's bounce back tips & life after Wham! Plus how to have happy feet
Useful links & practical advice from our biweekly podcast episodes: our interview with Pepsi and an in depth look at foot health. Yes you CAN have pain-free feet as you age!
In this week’s two Postcards From Midlife podcast episodes we talked to Pepsi Demacque-Crockett about her remarkable life story from growing up in a North London Caribbean community, the day she was asked to join Wham! and how she built a new life in her 50s in St Lucia, the setting for her new novel Island Song. And we discover what it was like going on tour with Wham!, the secret to her decades long friendship with Shirlie Kemp and the one thing that reminds her most of our beloved George Michael. Pepsi also shares how she found strength in her darkest moments and came to terms with being unable to have children with her husband James, why she became a buddhist and what she’s learnt about love and health since reaching her 60s.

Happy Feet….
And in our midweek episode Lorraine tests a medical pedicure and interviews a podiatrist about the rarely mentioned health risks we face if we don’t look after our feet as we age. She interviewed Margaret Dabbs’ Tamara Iglesias to find out why we often go up a foot size as we mature and what we can do about ailments like bunions, callouses, fungal infections, osteoarthritis, fallen arches, hammer toe and corns.
